The Mental Health Workshop was a supportive and insightful event focused on promoting emotional well-being, self-awareness, and resilience among students. It aimed to create a safe space where participants could learn about mental health, recognize their emotions, and understand the importance of taking care of their minds. The session began with an open conversation led by trained facilitators, who explained what mental health is and why it matters. Using simple and relatable examples, they talked about common feelings such as stress, anxiety, sadness, and fear—reassuring students that these emotions are normal and manageable. Interactive activities like emotion-mapping, journaling prompts, and group discussions helped students identify and express their feelings in healthy ways. They were also taught practical techniques such as breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, and positive self-talk to deal with overwhelming emotions. One of the most important messages of the workshop was the idea that asking for help is a sign of strength. Students were encouraged to talk to trusted adults, friends, or school counselors whenever they felt troubled. The facilitators also discussed how to support peers and build a kind, inclusive environment. Visual aids, short videos, and role-plays made the session engaging and easy to understand. Students actively participated, asked questions, and shared their thoughts without hesitation. The workshop concluded with a group affirmation activity and a reminder to care for both mental and physical health. Overall, the Mental Health Workshop was a comforting, empowering experience that left students feeling more self-aware, supported, and mentally strong.
