The Acting Workshop was an energetic and confidence-boosting event that introduced students to the exciting world of drama and performance. Designed to help participants explore self-expression, body language, and storytelling, the workshop blended fun with learning in a creative and supportive environment. The session began with ice-breaking games and warm-up exercises to help students loosen up and feel comfortable. These included simple stretches, vocal warm-ups, and fun theatre games that encouraged quick thinking, movement, and spontaneity. Facilitators introduced the basics of acting—such as facial expressions, voice modulation, gestures, and stage presence—through engaging demonstrations and group activities. Students learned how to express different emotions like happiness, anger, sadness, and fear using their face, voice, and body. Participants then worked in small groups to rehearse and perform short scenes or skits based on everyday situations or creative prompts. They were encouraged to add their own twists, use props, and improvise, which brought out laughter, excitement, and teamwork. The workshop also included activities like “mirror games,” “character walks,” and “emotional charades” that helped students step into different roles and build confidence in front of an audience. Facilitators provided constructive feedback, helping students improve their timing, clarity, and expressions. By the end of the session, each group performed their act for the others, receiving applause and appreciation for their effort and creativity. Overall, the Acting Workshop was a fun-filled and empowering experience that nurtured imagination, built confidence, and introduced students to the joys of performance and stagecraft.
