The Computer Workshop was an exciting and educational event designed to enhance students' digital literacy and introduce them to the world of technology. It aimed to equip participants with essential computer skills and inspire them to use technology creatively and responsibly. The session began with a brief introduction to the basics of computers, including hardware components, software, and operating systems. Students learned about the functions of the keyboard, mouse, CPU, monitor, and how these parts work together to perform tasks. The facilitators also explained the importance of using technology safely and responsibly, especially in today’s digital age. The workshop then moved on to hands-on activities. Younger students practiced basic skills like typing, opening files, using paint programs, and browsing the internet safely. Older students were introduced to more advanced topics such as presentations, spreadsheets, coding basics, and simple programming using user-friendly platforms like Scratch or Blockly. Interactive demonstrations, games, and problem-solving exercises kept the students engaged and encouraged them to explore technology with curiosity and confidence. The instructors guided participants through each step and answered questions patiently, creating a supportive learning environment. The session also touched on important topics such as cyber safety, digital etiquette, and how to use computers for learning, creativity, and productivity. At the end of the workshop, students were given a short recap, along with digital literacy tips and online resources.
