The Good Touch, Bad Touch workshop was an important and sensitive session aimed at teaching young children about body safety, personal boundaries, and the difference between appropriate and inappropriate touch. Conducted in a safe, age-appropriate, and friendly environment, the session focused on empowering students with awareness and confidence. The workshop began with a warm and gentle introduction by trained facilitators who explained the concept of “good touch” — touches that make a child feel safe, loved, and cared for, like a hug from parents or a pat on the back from a teacher. They also introduced the concept of “bad touch” — touches that make a child feel confused, scared, or uncomfortable. Through stories, role plays, animated videos, and simple examples, children were taught the “NO-GO-TELL” rule — say NO, get away (GO), and TELL a trusted adult. Facilitators also explained the idea of private body parts using the “swimsuit rule” and emphasized that children have the right to protect their bodies and say no to anything that makes them feel uneasy. Students were encouraged to talk openly, ask questions, and share their feelings. The session included discussions on safe adults, secrets that should never be kept, and how to seek help if needed. The workshop ended with a recap of the key points, a short quiz, and positive reinforcement to ensure children felt confident and understood the message clearly. Overall, the Good Touch, Bad Touch workshop was a valuable, child-friendly program that promoted safety, awareness, and empowerment in a respectful and caring way.
