The Raksha Bandhan workshop was a festive and heartwarming event that celebrated the special bond between brothers and sisters. The workshop aimed to teach students the cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan while allowing them to express their creativity through hands-on activities. The event began with a short introduction explaining the history and meaning of Raksha Bandhan—an Indian festival that symbolizes love, protection, and the cherished relationship between siblings. Students were excited to learn how this tradition is celebrated across the country in different ways. Participants were then guided to create their own rakhis using a variety of colourful materials such as threads, beads, sequins, foam shapes, glitter, and decorative stones. The instructors demonstrated different styles of rakhi-making, and students enthusiastically followed along, each crafting a unique and beautiful design. In addition to rakhi-making, the workshop also included the creation of greeting cards and handwritten messages, allowing students to express their feelings and appreciation for their siblings. Some students even prepared rakhis for soldiers or underprivileged children, adding a deeper message of kindness and inclusion to the celebration. Throughout the session, the room was filled with laughter, colours, and excitement as students proudly shared their work and helped each other with designs. Traditional music played softly in the background, enhancing the festive mood. The workshop concluded with a small display of the handmade rakhis and cards, along with group photos and sweets distribution. Overall, the Raksha Bandhan workshop was a beautiful blend of tradition, creativity, and joy, leaving everyone with lasting memories and heartfelt smiles.
