The Good Touch, Bad Touch workshop was a sensitive and essential session aimed at educating children about body safety, personal boundaries, and the importance of speaking up. The goal was to empower young students with the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and seek help when needed. The session began with a friendly introduction by trained facilitators who used age-appropriate language, visual aids, and stories to create a safe and comfortable environment. The concepts of good touch (like a hug from family) and bad touch (touches that make them uncomfortable or scared) were clearly explained through relatable examples. Children were taught to identify different types of touches and understand the idea of private body parts, using the "swimsuit rule" as a guide. They were encouraged to trust their feelings—if a touch feels wrong, they have the right to say "no" and tell a trusted adult. Interactive role-plays, games, and animated videos helped reinforce the message in a memorable and non-scary way. The importance of saying "NO," getting away from unsafe situations, and telling a safe adult (like parents or teachers) was emphasized repeatedly. The workshop also addressed the importance of secrets—teaching children that safe adults never ask them to keep secrets that make them uncomfortable. At the end, a short Q&A session allowed children to ask questions anonymously, making sure every doubt was cleared. Overall, the Good Touch, Bad Touch workshop was a powerful and necessary experience that helped children feel safer, more aware, and more confident in protecting their personal boundaries.
