Breaking the Cycle - menstrual awareness

AquaTerra welfare project · Kolkata

Three AquaTerra volunteers led Breaking the Cycle in Kolkata this November, opening up a conversation on menstrual health with 40 teenagers who don't always get the chance to ask these questions out loud. The room started shy but warmed up quickly.

By focusing on hygiene, health, and honest answers rather than awkward silence, the session gave the teenagers real information they could use. It was a small but necessary step toward normalising a topic that's too often left unspoken, and the volunteers left glad the conversation had finally happened.
