Pather Sathi turned into a small carol circle this December, with five AquaTerra volunteers leading over thirty-five children through a round of Christmas songs. What began a little shy soon turned into full-throated singing, volunteers included.
Afterwards came cake, cut and shared among the group, followed by a round of classic Christmas stories told by the volunteers to a room of kids who were clearly in no hurry for the afternoon to end.
Nothing about the day was elaborate - just songs, cake, and stories - but that simplicity was exactly what made it feel like Christmas.
