Five AquaTerra volunteers spent this December afternoon at Amader Pradakhep helping twenty-five children build their own Christmas stockings from scratch. Paper, glue, and a fair bit of glitter later, every child had a stocking to call their own.
Once the stockings were done, the volunteers cut and shared cake with the group before quietly filling each stocking with chocolates - turning the kids' own handiwork into their Christmas surprise. The reveal was easily the best part of the day, judging by the reaction in the room.
It was a straightforward workshop on paper, but the mix of craft, cake, and a small surprise at the end made it feel like an actual Christmas celebration for everyone involved.
