At Silver Spring Apartment, three AquaTerra volunteers tried something a little different this December: a cookie pass-on drive built entirely on trust. Instead of a one-time handout, each cookie came with a quiet ask - enjoy it, then pass another on to someone who needs it more.
Over twenty cookies made their way through the complex this way, with residents warming up quickly to the idea of turning a treat into a small act of generosity. What started as a simple sweet exchange became a short chain of kindness stretching well beyond the volunteers themselves.
