Bangur saw another edition of Tails and Treats this September, with four AquaTerra volunteers heading out to feed and fuss over the neighbourhood's strays. Fifty-five dogs got a proper meal along with plenty of belly rubs and attention.
The evening had the easy rhythm of a drive the volunteers know well by now — bowls filled, dogs called over, and a bit of time spent just sitting with the animals who are usually overlooked.
It was a small, warm evening that reminded everyone how far consistent care can go for Kolkata's street dogs.
