Three AquaTerra volunteers turned times tables into a game at Pather Sathi this August, running Fun Factors for 45 children who usually dread the subject. Numbers got a lot less scary once they were wrapped in activities and friendly competition.
Multiplication is rarely anyone's favourite topic, but the volunteers leaned into games and quick-fire rounds to keep the energy up. By the end of the session, the kids at Pather Sathi were racing through problems they'd have avoided just an hour earlier.
