Nine AquaTerra volunteers turned out for the forty-fourth Tails and Treats drive in Bhowanipur this August, one of the bigger turnouts yet, making sure 65 stray dogs were fed and fussed over. With so many hands on deck, the group could split up and cover more streets than usual, reaching corners the drive doesn't always get to.
The dogs clearly enjoyed the extra attention, with plenty of cuddling and belly rubs alongside the biscuits and food handed out. It turned into less of a routine feeding run and more of an afternoon of genuine affection.
A big turnout made for a big impact, and Bhowanipur's strays were well looked after by the end of the day.
