Three AquaTerra volunteers ran Magic Makers at Pather Sathi this August, working with 35 children on speaking up and building confidence through fun, interactive exercises. The focus wasn't on formal lessons but on getting kids comfortable using their voice in front of others.
Activities encouraged children to present, answer, and speak in front of the group, with volunteers cheering on every attempt regardless of how polished it was. That encouragement made a visible difference as quieter kids gradually joined in.
By the end, 35 children at Pather Sathi had each had a turn in the spotlight, a little louder and more confident than when the session began.
