Two AquaTerra volunteers took to the streets of Kolkata this June for the sixth edition of Book Basket, gathering 3.5 kilograms of books for children who could use them. The drive leaned on neighbours willing to donate books sitting unused on their shelves.
Every book handed over was one step closer to reaching a child who might not otherwise have access to one, whether a storybook, a textbook, or something in between.
It was a modest but meaningful outing, another link in AquaTerra's ongoing effort to keep books moving from those who have plenty to those who don't.
