As summer heat bore down on Lake Town Footbridge, six AquaTerra volunteers set up the 19th edition of Sharbat Seva, handing out 20 litres of Rooh Afza to passersby looking for relief. It's a drive that matters most exactly when the weather makes it hardest to be outdoors.
The footbridge location put the team right in the path of commuters and laborers who don't always get a chance to pause for water, let alone something cold and sweet. Small cups of sharbat went a long way in those few minutes of relief.
Nineteen rounds in, this one kept the tradition going — cool drinks, warm gestures, and a little less heat to survive that day.
