One AquaTerra volunteer ran Money Talks at Tiljala Shed this March, walking 25 children through the basics of saving and budgeting in plain, practical terms. Examples stayed simple, piggy banks, pocket money, and small everyday choices.
Financial literacy isn't always an easy topic to make interesting for kids, but keeping it grounded in things they already understood helped it land. By the end of the session, the children at Tiljala Shed had a clearer, more confident sense of what saving actually looks like.
