One AquaTerra volunteer led Budget Basics at Pather Sathi this March, walking 25 children through the everyday idea of saving, spending, and planning ahead. Using relatable examples like pocket money and shopping lists, the session turned an often-dry topic into something the kids could actually picture themselves doing.
Questions came quickly once the ice broke, with children eager to share how they already handle small amounts of money at home. That curiosity made the workshop feel less like a lesson and more like a conversation.
It was a small session with a lasting goal: giving children tools they can carry well beyond the classroom.
