At Pather Sathi this March, a single AquaTerra volunteer sat down with a group of 30 children to tackle something that trips up most students at some point — fractions. Rather than a lecture, the session was built around one-on-one attention, working through problems at each child's own pace.
The format made a real difference. With individual time and patience, concepts that seemed confusing on the blackboard started clicking once broken down simply. Alongside fractions, the volunteer also helped with broader study habits, giving the children tools they could carry into their regular schoolwork.
It was a quiet, focused session — the kind that doesn't make headlines but adds up to real learning over time.
