Eight AquaTerra volunteers turned out for the twenty-fourth Tails and Treats drive in Hazra this December, making sure 45 stray dogs got a proper meal and a bit of attention. With that many hands, the group could cover more ground, tracking down dogs tucked away in quieter corners of the neighbourhood.
Beyond the food, there was a lot of gentle petting and a few new friendships formed between volunteers and the neighbourhood's regulars. The dogs seemed to recognise the routine as much as the volunteers did.
It was a cold-weather reminder that care for strays doesn't take a break just because the season changes.
