Five AquaTerra volunteers kicked off Sharbat Seva's very first edition at Elite Cinema Old Building in Esplanade this May, serving 20 litres of Rooh Afza to a curious and thirsty crowd. Being the debut stop, there was an extra bit of energy in the air.
Passersby stopped, tried the citrus sharbat, and came back for seconds, giving the volunteers an encouraging start to what would become a long-running drive.
It was a small first step that set the tone for many more sharbat stalls to come across the city.
