Two AquaTerra volunteers spent an afternoon at Hope Foundation this May running Lines and Layers, an art workshop that gave 25 children a chance to put their thoughts onto paper through paint and drawing. The mood stayed relaxed and unhurried throughout.
Each child worked at their own pace, and volunteers moved around offering tips without ever taking over the creative decisions. The focus was squarely on enjoyment.
By the end, the children had a fresh set of drawings to call their own, and the room was full of the kind of pride that comes from making something yourself.
