Marking Women and Science Day, four AquaTerra volunteers ran Lab Legends at Pather Sathi, introducing 30 children to the stories of women scientists alongside simple STEM activities. The session paired inspiring figures with hands-on tasks, so the lessons landed in more than just words.
Volunteers shared stories of women who broke ground in science while children worked through small experiments of their own, connecting the history to something they could try themselves. The mix kept the workshop from feeling like a straight history lesson.
For 30 children at Pather Sathi, it was a session that mixed inspiration with curiosity in equal measure.
