Ahead of Republic Day, four AquaTerra volunteers ran Tricolour Time at Pather Sathi, helping 35 children craft their own Indian flags. Alongside the craft, volunteers spoke about what the tricolour represents, tying the activity to a bit of history and meaning.
The children worked carefully with paper and paint, proud of getting the colors and proportions just right. It turned a simple craft session into a small lesson on patriotism, told through scissors and glue rather than a lecture.
By the time everyone packed up, 35 children had their own flags to take home, made just in time for Republic Day.
