This October, five AquaTerra volunteers joined hands with Pather Sathi to close out weeks of Durga Puja preparations with one big celebration. Forty children took the stage to sing, perform, and share the art they had made in earlier sessions, turning the classroom into a festive hall for the afternoon.
There was pride in the air as kids who had spent weeks painting thalis and rehearsing songs finally got to show their families and friends what they had built. Volunteers stepped back and let the children lead, offering only quiet encouragement from the sidelines.
It was less a workshop and more a homecoming, a reminder of why the earlier weeks of effort mattered in the first place.
