Two AquaTerra volunteers closed out the Durga Puja Workshop series at Pather Sathi this September with Colours of Durga, the third and final session. Twenty-five children took part in diya painting and thali decoration while volunteers retold the legends behind the festival.
With music playing and colours everywhere, the session had a celebratory feel that matched the occasion it was building toward. Children who had joined earlier sessions carried a familiarity into this one, making the closing feel earned rather than rushed.
It wrapped up the series on a high note, leaving the children with both finished crafts and a stronger sense of the culture behind them.
