Kicking off the Colours of Durga series, four AquaTerra volunteers visited Pather Sathi this September to bring Durga Puja into the Sunday school classroom for 30 children. Idol drawing and storytelling formed the heart of the session, giving kids a creative way into the festival's meaning.
As children sketched their own versions of the goddess, volunteers wove in the story behind her, tying the artwork to ideas of strength and resilience. The room moved easily between focused drawing time and lively group discussion.
It was a first edition that set the tone well — festive, educational, and clearly one the children were eager to continue the following week.
