Waste Wise - Waste Management Workshop

AquaTerra welfare project · Ashok Hall School

Five AquaTerra volunteers brought Waste Wise to Ashok Hall School this August, using games and storytelling to walk 50 children through the basics of waste segregation and sustainable habits. Simple ideas like cloth bags and composting kitchen scraps were framed as everyday actions any child could try at home.

The demonstrations were the highlight, with kids sorting mock waste into the right bins and comparing notes on what surprised them most. It turned an abstract environmental issue into something tangible and personal.

Children left the session with more than facts, they left with a sense that their own choices genuinely matter.
